Morning

07:30: Your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel at Hanoity to begin the 6-hour journey to Ha Giang province. Watch as the urban landscape gives way to sprawling tea plantations and rolling mountains. The drive itself is an incredible experience, offering a first glimpse of the unique landscapes of Northern Vietnam. We'll pass through countless ethnic minority villages, providing endless opportunities for stunning photographs.

Afternoon

12:00: Lunch. We will stop for a meal at a local restaurant in Tuyen Quang. 14:00: Arrive and check into a traditional Tay stilt house in Thon Tha village. Immerse yourself in the peaceful, traditional life of the Tay ethnic minority. Take a short, relaxing walk around this beautiful village, home to just 550 people. Interacting with the friendly villagers offers a genuine insight into a culture preserved through generations.

Evening

A delicious home-cooked Dinner will be served by your host family. Enjoy the authentic flavors and warm hospitality that make a homestay experience so unforgettable.

Enjoy a simple yet hearty Breakfast at the homestay. After breakfast, we hit the road again, driving towards the incredible Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark. Ascend into a world of limestone peaks and deep valleys, stopping at the spectacular Quan Ba Heaven Gate. From here, you'll have a panoramic view of the famous Twin Mountains, a beautiful and iconic natural landmark.

Afternoon

Enjoy Lunch in the small mountain town of Yen Minh. Rested and refueled, we continue our journey. First, we visit the historic Former H’Mong King’s Palace in Sa Phin village, a unique architectural relic that tells the story of a powerful local dynasty. Next, we travel to Vietnam's symbolic northernmost point, the Lung Cu Flag Tower. Climb to the top for a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape, with the border of China visible in the distance.

Evening

Arrive in Dong Van town. Wander the ancient streets, lined with centuries-old H'mong homes made of clay bricks and tile roofs. Enjoy Dinner at a local restaurant before checking into your hotel for the night.

Morning

Enjoy Breakfast at your hotel. We'll take a short walk to visit the vibrant Dong Van market, where local ethnic groups gather to trade their goods. Then, prepare for the highlight of the Ha Giang Loop: the Ma Pi Leng Pass. Known as the "King of Passes," this breathtaking stretch of the "Happy Road" winds its way through a gigantic maze of lime peaks and canyons, offering some of the most dramatic scenery in all of Southeast Asia.

Afternoon

Descending into the valley of Meo Vac, we continue our journey, snaking through the mountains until we reach the village of Bao Lac for Lunch. Afterwards, we continue the final leg of our drive to Cao Bang city.

Evening

Arrive in Cao Bang and check into your hotel. Dinner is on your own, giving you a chance to explore the local cuisine.

Enjoy Breakfast at your hotel. Today is dedicated to exploring the magnificent natural wonders north of Cao Bang. Our main destination is the incredible Ban Gioc waterfall. Witness the sheer power of one of the four largest border-crossing waterfalls in the world. This picturesque, cascading waterfall is 53 meters high and an impressive 300 meters wide, creating a stunning spectacle of nature's force on the border with China.

Afternoon

Enjoy Lunch with local specialties at a restaurant near the waterfall. On our way back, we will visit Phuc Sen Village, one of the oldest traditional blacksmith villages in Vietnam, where you can see artisans at work. Next, we descend into the earth to explore Nguom Ngao Cave. This is an astonishing limestone grotto, famous for its immense size and the spectacular stalactites and stalagmites that adorn its chambers, creating a mystical underground world.

Evening

Return to your hotel in Cao Bang. Dinner is on your own.

DAY 5: THE EMERALD LAKE | Cao Bang → Ba Be Lake (B/L/-)

Morning

Enjoy Breakfast at your hotel. We set off for our final destination, Ba Be National Park. Our journey begins with a challenge: crossing the Ma Phuc Pass, one of the most stunning mountain passes in the region.

Afternoon

After a stop for Lunch en route, we will arrive at Ba Be Lake around noon and check into another Tay minority homestay. Board a private boat for a cruise on the emerald waters of Ba Be Lake, soaking in its sublime serenity. The lake is surrounded by lush, jungle-covered mountains. We will cruise to the far end of the lake to visit the powerful Dau Dang waterfall. Our final exploration is the newly discovered Hua Ma Cave. This cave is hidden within a mountain peak, adorned with spectacular, otherworldly stalactites and stalagmites.

Evening

Return to the homestay for a delicious home-cooked Dinner.

DAY 6: JOURNEY BACK TO THE CAPITAL | Ba Be Lake → Hanoi (B/-/-)

Morning

Enjoy a final Breakfast at the homestay. Take some free time to walk around the village, watch the locals begin their day, or simply relax and enjoy the peaceful lake views. Afterwards, we begin the drive back to Hanoi. Depending on the lunar calendar, we may stop at the bustling Cho Da market.

Afternoon

We will arrive back in Hanoi in the late afternoon, where our driver and guide will drop you off at your hotel. This marks the end of your unforgettable Northern Frontier adventure.
