Depart from downtown Hanoi for a scenic journey through winding mountain roads. Watch as the landscape transforms, opening up to dramatic valleys and cloud-kissed peaks, a stunning introduction to the highlands of Northern Vietnam.
Arrive in the charming mountain town of Sapa, where a cool breeze welcomes you. After Lunch, we begin with a leisurely walk to Cat Cat Village. Home to the Black Hmong people, this picturesque village is nestled beside streams and waterfalls. Here you can watch women weaving on ancient looms, hear the murmur of water over stones, and let the profound serenity of the valley sink in.
As dusk settles, return to Sapa town, where the evening is yours to explore. Wander through the vibrant night market, alive with colorful stalls of brocades, fragrant grilled dishes, and the warm smiles of the local people. Dinner is on your own.
Enjoy Breakfast and wake up to the fresh mountain air as mist drifts across the hills. Today is a day of discovery and connection. Your trek begins into Lao Chai Village, where the rice terraces cascade down the mountainsides like green silk ribbons. The Hmong people here will greet you with quiet warmth and stories of their traditions.
Continue your trek to Ta Van Village, home to the Tay minority, for a rustic lunch. You will share a meal in a local homestay, savoring simple yet heartful dishes with incredible views of the Muong Hoa Valley. After lunch, follow bamboo-lined paths into Giang Ta Chai Village of the Red Dao people. Cross suspension bridges, listen to the roar of a nearby waterfall, and learn about the unique culture of this fascinating ethnic group.
Return to Sapa in the late afternoon. After Dinner, you have the option to join an ethnic performance, where vibrant dances and music echo the heartbeat of the mountains.
Enjoy Breakfast before beginning your journey to Bac Ha, a tapestry of stunning landscapes. Along the way, we will make stops at two breathtaking viewpoints:
Arrive in Bac Ha and enjoy Lunch. Afterward, we will explore Ban Pho Village, known for its fragrant corn wine and the vibrant Flower Hmong culture. This is a wonderful opportunity to sit with local families, taste their specialties, and witness the gentle, peaceful rhythm of their daily life.
Savor a Dinner of highland delicacies. Perhaps you will try Thắng Cố (a traditional horse meat stew) or colorful sticky rice, as stories of the mountains unfold around you.
Enjoy Breakfast before diving into the highlight of the region: the Bac Ha Sunday Market. This is a true feast for the senses. Ethnic groups from all surrounding villages, dressed in their finest traditional costumes, gather to trade livestock, vibrant fabrics, silver jewelry, and fragrant spices. It is more than a market – it is a weekly festival, a meeting place, and a living museum of highland culture.
After Lunch, we will make a short visit to the Hmong King’s Palace. Explore this elegant relic of the colonial era, a unique blend of French and Chinese architectural styles. Following the visit, we begin our return journey to Hanoi. As the mountains fade behind you, you will carry not just memories, but the spirit of the highlands – colorful, soulful, and unforgettable.
You will be dropped off in downtown Hanoi, concluding your incredible highland adventure.
