Where diplomacy meets the spirit of travel

Every now and then, duty calls — and this time, it was an honor to attend the 2019 “Middle East – Africa Ambassadors’ Meeting” in Hanoi, in my role as the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Seychelles.

The event brought together diplomats, industry leaders, and Vietnamese enterprises for an open dialogue on potential cooperation between Vietnam and countries across the Middle East and Africa. There’s no doubt that the region holds tremendous potential in trade and investment. But as I listened to industry giants like Viettel, Hapro, and Lavifood share their experiences, I was reminded of the old saying: “Big ships face big waves.” So true.

As for me — just a small boat in the vast ocean — I’ll keep doing what I do best: bringing people to the world through travel.
